5. To number 4 American media has long been affiliates with political sides: msnbc is a well known leftist/liberal news corporation and fox news is a well known rightist/conservative news corporation. So, while your point makes sense in theory, it does not withstand the test of reality. Indeed, many corporations in America have strong ties to either party: Coca cola contributes to the Republicans while Pepsi to the Democrats, Google and Apple are strongly connected to the Democrats and most weapons manufacturers support the Republicans. As for what number 1 wrote, there is nothing about it that mentions concern for aol's future. It is simply a slander against the Huffington Post. As far as I can recall, Ariana Huffington visited Israel at least once, was interviewed about her views on the Israeli high tech industry, and indeed wasn't very flattering. But, her views were professional and not antisemitic. Elad | 08.02.11 (ל"ת)
4. to No 3 the student expressed a real concern about the often directed and malicious portrayal of Israel in world media. The student also correctly pointed out that nominating Ms. Huffington as editor in chief can bring AOL undesirable political attention and may hamper its success. Most corporations try to avoid any political affiliation with all their might knowing that such an affiliation would likely be damaging to their business. הבונבון | 07.02.11 (ל"ת)
3. To the student (1) Surprising as it may sound, there are things that people do which are not necessarily related to their views about Israel. The Huffington Post was one of the only voices in American media against excessive power to the corporations. Her views about Israel, which I doubt if they are as bad as you claim, are insignificant. Furthermore, as a student you should know that criticism and open mindedness are essential for evolving. Israel is not above criticism, nor should it be, and calling every voice criticizing Israel antisemitic is more a way to avoid improving our situation than anything else. Elad | 07.02.11 (ל"ת)
