לדעתי תואר במנהל עסקים חשוב בהחלט למי שעתיד לעסוק בתחומי הניהול, השיווק והפיננסים, מהטעם הפשוט שהוא מפתח חשיבה ומיומנויות אריתמטיות, וכן חושף את הלומדים למושגים מעולם הניהול והעסקים שלא היו נחשפים אליהם בדרך אחרת. המושגים הבסיסיים הם היסודות שעליהם ניתן לבסס עשייה מקצועית בתחומים הללו, מתוך הבנה ולא הימור.

Such a load of BS. I was in the first class in the Kellogg program . This was a product and a money maker for Kellogg, nothing else. A way for Recanatti to charged 3-4 times more money too. There were NO GRADES. can you believe it ? Just Pass or Fail. And you know how many dropped? Maybe one or two and I doubt if it was due to their academics. Let's face it. We all did it so that on the resume we will have the Kellogg name. Some came to also learn something new. But for the most , it was a calculated move. Everyone was on this little secret. Dean Jacobs is a very impressive man and a great salesman. He did good for the school and good for his own, but let's be honest about it (which is something Academia is really missing these days - Integrity). Did the MBA help me? Well in some respect it did. In the USA, it helps to have it on the resume, for sure. But, never for a moment I think of it as more significant than my first degree in Engineering. Nothing to compare really. I guess the dean will say that I was the wrong person to come to the program then ha? looks like this is he answers every tough question. Well, what does he care? The world he helped created is about to be washed out by a new world and a new generation and hopefully for a better world. I still don't have a firm belief in human nature to stop being greedy and therefore not too hopeful myself, but will be watching it closely. You will learn a lot and this is stuff that you are not exposed to in Israel so far away from where the real action is really taking place.

סמכות מקבלים ולוקחים. ולהיות מנהל זה לא יעד,, זה צורך. וכולנו מנהלים ברמות שונות במינונים שונים ולימודי מינהל עסקים נותנים קצת כלים אבל בעיקר מעבירים את סוגיות היומיום, ממצב של התנהלות על טייס אוטומטי למודעות ולגיבוש השקפות...

למה לענות בטיעונים נכונים? זה לא מה שמלמדים ב MBA... עדיף להגיד - הוא ממקגיל, מה הוא יודע. חרטטן.

עו כעשור, טרם התגלותו של הפרופסור המכובד ובית הספר בנורטווסרן, כבר הוקמו ופעלו בישראל פקולטות למינהל עסקים. בתחילה בירושלים ולאחר מכן בתל אביב. צוות מקימי הפקולטות הללו מנה את הפרופסור יאיר אהרוני, הד"ר דניאל האפט והפרופסור מרשל סרנת. החזון של האוניברסיטה העברית היה קצר (אם בכלל היה) והשלושה נטשו את ירושלים ועקרו (אקדמית) לתל-אביב. לביה"ס בנורטווסטרן , היה ניחוח של חו"ל ולכן ישראלים רבים ערגו לשם. בארץ יכלו לקבל תמורה הולמת יותר להשקעתם. כל התהילה של קלוג נובעת מיחסי ציבור מעולים יותר מהכל

I came from the Humanities in my graduate studies and turning to take a MBA in Finance in London I found the course very demanding and did learn a lot from it that I implemented in my life But I got my degree almost 20 years ago and the monetary costs were reasonable then, I don't know if today I would pay the sums demanded for the the same degree I would certainly caution anyone to avoid taking massive loans to pay for an MBA , thinking he will easily pay them off. This is dangerous and trapped many, ruined their lives before they got a chance to even start anything

קנו את הספר THE PERSONAL MBA הספר מכיל את כל מה שמלמדים אתכם בבית הספר למנהל, בעלות של 13 פאונד (קניתי בבריטניה). מרוכז, מתומצת ומעולה.

"בית החרושת היעיל ביותר ליצירת מנהלי שיווק" זה נכון שהתוכנית מדורגת בין המובילות בעולם בתחום השיווק, אבל דווקא ראיתי כאן http://www.aringo.co.il/Kellogg_MBA.htm שהחברות העיקריות שמגייסות בוגרים מקלוג הן חברות היעוץ המובילות כמו מקינזי, BCG וביין.

יש לי לא מעט חברים שעשו, ומעבר ל"שורה בקורות החיים" , הם בעצמם אומרים שלא ממש תרם להם. אגב, הם גם לא ממש התכוונו שיתרום להם. החבר'ה של חו"ל מדברים אחרת, אבל מצד שני, בתקופה בה אי אפשר להיקלט בעבודה בחו"ל, לא ברור איזה יתרון זה נותן. בעיה: למי שרוצה ללמוד תואר שני בתחום עסקי - אין כמעט אפשרויות פרט למנה"ס. יש וריאנטים שונים (מוסמך במערכות ניהול או משהו) , אבל אין ממש אפשרויות אחרות סבירות.
